COVENANT PROMISES
I understand that deciding to enter the Confirmation preparation program is an important decision requiring study and participation. I am expected to come to class well prepared, with a notebook, a bible, a working pen and the textbook.
I understand that Mass attendance is a must. Failure to do so will clearly indicate that I am not ready for the sacrament of Confirmation.
I will do my best to fully participate in the Confirmation Program. I will support my companions on this journey by asking questions and sharing my thoughts and opinions when asked. I will strive to be as truthful as possible in my words and actions.
I have been told about and understand that a retreat is required as well as a letter to the pastor expressing my willingness to join the program. I agree to these requirements.
I understand that if i am going to miss a learning session, it is I who will call to inform the confirmation coordinator. Because of the importance of all the learning sessions, I also understand that if I miss two sessions, I will need to meet with the Pastor (Msgr. Jerome Feudjio) before I attend another session.
I have been informed of, understand, and agree to 20 hours of community service. The service project is an implementation of the works of mercy.
I will do my best to pray every day to encourage my growth in and understanding of the Holy Spirit. Further, I will make every effort to participate in Mass each week.
I understand that the Confirmation preparation program is entered into voluntarily; and it is taken for granted that those who attend do so because they want to. I also understand that inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated. If, at any time, my behavior inappropriate, I understand that a notice will be sent to inform my parents/guardian. A second instance will result in my being dropped from the program unless a meeting is arranged with all concerned, and a solution is found.
I understand that abiding to the terms of this covenant will help me celebrate more fully the Sacrament of Confirmation.
